Portraits of People

The Brief

Davines asked me to visualise two lifestyle collections that introduced new colour techniques for 2021. Shadow Prints explored using darker panels in unconventional areas to give white or grey hair more depth and brightness, while Sculpture Prints launched “Sculptoning,” a freehand method of sculpting blonde hair with contrasting tones. Both collections needed to feel timeless yet innovative, and translate technical artistry into visuals that would inspire both professionals and consumers worldwide.

My Role & The Outcome

As Creative Director and Director of Photography, I worked alongside Davines Hair Art Director Tom Connell and Colour Ambassador Ashleigh Hodges to craft the creative narrative, direct the shoots, and oversee both stills and motion capture. The resulting campaigns combined aspirational imagery with educational clarity: Shadow Prints demonstrated how strategic shadow panels can add thickness and light to grey or white hair, while Sculpture Prints highlighted the sculptural quality of blonde treated as a raw material. Published globally, the collections reinforced Davines’ reputation for creative innovation and provided a strong toolkit for both marketing and education.
